Ghana head coach Otto Addo has expressed confidence ahead of the Black Stars’ international friendly against Austria in Vienna on Friday, insisting his side is determined to secure victory.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Addo made it clear that Ghana are not in Europe to merely participate but to compete at the highest level. “We want to win every match we play. Now the full focus is on Austria,” he said, adding that his technical team has thoroughly analyzed their opponents.
The Ghana coach, however, acknowledged the unpredictable nature of modern football, noting that any team is capable of causing an upset.
The match will be played at the Ernst Happel Stadium, with kick-off set for 18:00 CET on March 27. It forms part of Ghana’s preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Captain Jordan Ayew also struck an optimistic tone, emphasizing the team’s readiness and commitment to delivering a strong performance.
