Black Stars coach, Otto Addo has complained about the quality of the Chad national stadium pitch ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Thursday, September 4, 2025.

Chad will host the Black Stars at the Stade Olympique Marechal Idriss Deby Itno for the matchday 7 fixture of the qualifiers.

Speaking ahead of the game, Otto Addo who complained about the nature of the pitch wondered why CAF would approve such a pitch for a Category C game.

“The pitch is not really good. I’m surprised CAF allowed this pitch. For the players, it’s like playing on concrete.”
