The trial of the former Chief Executive of the Public Procurement Authority (PPA), Adjenim Boateng Adjei, has resumed at the Criminal Division of the High Court in Accra.
Adjei is facing eight charges, including using public office for profit and influencing the procurement process to gain an unfair advantage.
OSP denies claims of refusing to help AG extradite Ken Ofori-Atta
The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) announced the development on its official X page on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
“Trial resumes for former PPA boss. OSP’s witness from CHRAJ is testifying today. Case was adjourned to today before the legal break,” the post stated.
The charges stem from allegations that Adjei abused his position as head of the PPA between March 2017 and August 2019 by manipulating the award of public contracts for personal benefit.
OSP sets record straight on Ken Ofori-Atta’s extradition
In 2024, the OSP filed similar charges against him over his alleged involvement with Talent Discovery Limited (TDL), a company purportedly used to secure government contracts.
The allegations were first exposed in 2019 through a documentary titled “Contracts for Sale,” which led to his dismissal by former President Nana Akufo-Addo on the recommendation of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ).
The trial, which had been adjourned earlier this year, resumed on October 21, 2025, as the OSP continues its efforts to prosecute alleged corruption and abuse of office.
