The founder of Mekra and one of the dynamic pioneers of spirituality in this age, Osofo Kojo Bentsir, through his musical genius, has paved the way for those across the globe to resonate with Spiritual Science.

The distinctive chimes of the track usher us into the harmonizing melodies of Kojo Vypa, a rapper, performer, and songwriter, three-time music award winner, and next-rated act nominee, whose vocals are intertwined with Enam, a Ghanaian artiste known for her unique tranquil Afro-Spiritual sound and recent grand performance at ‘Ghana’s Most Beautiful Pageant’.

Their vocals are followed by the raps of Boggy Wenzday, an Afro-pop and highlife artiste, five-time CMA award winner, and songwriter of the year at Ceba 2021, and Osofo Kojo Bentsir, the founder and Chief Priest of the organization ‘Mekra’, which is taking Africa, Europe, the United Kingdom, America, and other countries across the world by storm.

The ensemble of artistes brings together a double helix meaning to love and spirituality, likening it to that of a ‘good marriage’.

Many people believe that science and spirituality are not mutually exclusive. Once combined, they open the individual up to positive interactions with the Divine through their consciousness and the physical aspects of the Divine, which can be observed through creation.

Both aspects of spirituality and science build a relationship of trust and assurance, ultimately taking the individual on a journey to discover their true self, also known in the Akan tradition as the ‘Kra’ or in other cultures and traditions as their ‘Inner Self’, ‘I Am’ or ‘Chi’. Spiritual science provides an alternate reality that goes beyond what religion and science as standalone entities provide.

Spiritual science is an ancient practice that surpasses the modern science hypothesized by the Western world with the use of conventional studies and technology.

Rather, it relies on interactions, experiences, and personal growth and development, which build a tangible and solid foundation between the individual and the Divine.

There is no race on this Earth that does not have ‘African’ genealogy or DNA. ‘African’ heritage is rich in customs, traditions, and most importantly, Spiritual Science. Before the invasion, colonization, and indoctrination of the ‘African race,’ which led to the appropriation and misuse of ancient knowledge and artifacts to control the masses, Africa was a place that welcomed and educated people of all divergent ‘races’ across the world.

How did the history and affluence of the original ancient genealogy and its truth become disregarded?

The belief systems of the ‘African’, ‘Melanated’, or ‘Carbon’ rich ancient race are and were closely connected to the Cosmos and ‘Africans’ did not require the use of technology to see beyond what the human eye could grasp. For example, the Dogon people of Mali, West Africa, knew about Sirius B, a white dwarf star that cannot be seen with the visible eye, long before telescopes were invented.

The Dogon tribe used sophisticated Spiritual Science practices that were passed down through their ancestry to connect to Forces in the Cosmos. To this day, how they obtained this knowledge has confounded so-called scientists and astronomers who know nothing about how the Creative Forces interact, their architectural design of the universes, or their purpose.

‘Aware Pa’ creates a vibrancy through potent words and sounds, compelling the listener to connect with its first and true love, the ancient ways. To achieve this, the listener is advised to find themselves, stand boldly in their truth, acknowledge the richness and vigor of what they left behind, and be proud of their ancestry.

To acquire an understanding of ancient knowledge and to achieve this, the listener must first go back and be conscious of the undeniable first existence – The Original Ancient Creators.

Sankofa is an Akan word from Ghana in the Akan languages meaning “to go back and get it.” The Sankofa symbol is often depicted as a mythical bird with its head calmly turned backward while its feet face forward, carrying an egg in its mouth.

The second image is depicted as a conventional heart with symmetrical spirals. The intimate chorus of ‘Aware Pa’ resonates with the symbolism of Sankofa, beckoning the listener, ‘If you went and it did not work for you, it’s time to come back.’

‘Aware Pa’s’ double entendre—the literal meaning and secondary meaning—expresses the complexities of our journey in spirituality and losing our way through the deception of indoctrinations, religious texts, and dogma. We were blessed through our ancestors with spiritual science, and another that we perceived to be a ‘better lover’ came and made us divorce our first love – The Original Gods.

The song expresses the feelings of loss when coming to the realization that the first true love was an authentic, powerful, and irreplaceable queen and complemented the king that he was. However, all is not lost; there is an opportunity to go back and claim his first love. This time he asks for forgiveness and pledges to never withdraw from his first love again but to love her forever.

The song ultimately speaks to the audience, calling them to reconcile with the ancient and true ways, to break the chains. Reader, ‘it is not taboo to go back for what you forgot (or left behind).’
