Ghanaian dancehall artiste Akiyana has stated that she is not attracted to looks, but rather she wants a man who is financially supportive.

In an interview on Hitz FM on June 19, 2025, the “Nobody Bad” hitmaker noted that a man’s appearance holds little weight for her when it comes to relationships. According to her, what matters most is how financially generous the man is.

“I don’t really care about looks but number one you should be able to open your wallet because if you close your wallet I’ll close my zip,” Akiyana stated.

She explained that beyond financial support, she is also looking for someone who understands emotions and can connect with her on a deeper level.

“Number two I want somebody that is in touch with their emotions be in touch with your emotions, you need to be emotionally intelligent,” she said.

Akiyana went on to stress on the importance of care and stability in a relationship. She expressed dislike for partners who live carelessly, especially those who frequently smoke and drink, indicating that such behaviour make her uncomfortable and unhappy.

“I want somebody that is caring and cares about me, it’s so afraid to lose me. Not somebody that would be in the house smoking all the time, drinking all the time and doing stuff that it’s making me unhappy,” she added.
