A one-week observation has been announced for Mercy Little Smith.

The actress passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.

The news of her demise at 43 broke a day later via the Efiewura Facebook page.

Efiewura was an iconic TV series in which Mercy Little portrayed Benyiwaa, a character that made her super famous.

While the cause of her passing is not known yet, her screen husband and fellow from Takoradi, Kwame Dzokoto, has indicated she was battling a condition he did not disclose.

Mercy Little’s one-week observation was announced on her Facebook page.

The programme is scheduled for Saturday, December 28.

A one-week observation is an Akan tradition that takes place a week after an individual’s passing.

While it brings family and dear ones together to commemorate the deceased, the occasion is primarily used to plan their burial and final funeral rites.
