Conversations continue to swirl around a Russian man accused of secretly recording his sexual encounters with several Ghanaian women and sharing the videos online without their consent.

Some individuals have labelled the women involved in the videos as “cheap,” including Prophet Kumchacha, who argued that women who sleep with a man on the first day of meeting him are cheap.

However, media personality MC Yaa Yeboah has cautioned against harsh judgments, urging the public to be careful how they label the women captured in the Russian man’s alleged secret recordings.

She argued that even a “one-night stand”, having sex with someone on the same day of meeting, is not news. Speaking during a discussion on United Showbiz on UTV on February 14, 2026, Yaa Yeboah described the ladies involved as victims.

According to her, people engage in casual sex all the time, but secretly recording and sharing such content online without consent is where the line must be drawn.

She noted that she knows people who had a one-night stand and ended up together as married couples, insisting that describing women as cheap simply because of how a relationship started is misplaced.

She added that men should understand that attraction is not one-sided, as women also feel attracted to men in the same way.

“I know people who had a one-night stand and are still together today. Some met through simple interactions and conversations and ended up having sex that same day, and they are still together, with some even married. Let’s not make it seem like a one-night stand is news; it’s not news at all. Men have to understand that attraction is not one-sided. Just as men are attracted to women, women are also attracted to men,” Yaa Yeboah said.

Meanwhile, Ghanaian authorities have requested the extradition of the Russian man accused of illegally recording his sexual encounters with several women and sharing the videos online without their consent.

The suspect is alleged to have used a pair of sunglasses fitted with a hidden camera, known as Meta glasses, to film some of the encounters and circulate the videos on social media.

Speaking to journalists on February 14, 2026, Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Sam George, said he had invited the Russian ambassador for discussions over the alleged incident.

According to him, he has formally sought the cooperation of the Russian authorities to ensure justice for the affected Ghanaian women.
