Inter Milan goalkeeper, Josep Martinez has been involved in a fatal road accident leading to the death of an 81-year-old man.
Josep Martinez’s car struck the 81-year-old man in a wheelchair, who suffered a medical emergency after the clash.
According to multiple media reports in Italy, the unidentified victim didn’t survive despite the rapid intervention of emergency services.
The incident according to the report happened on the morning of Tuesday, October 28, 2025, around 9:40 am local time on Via Bergamo in Fenegrò, in the province of Como, near Inter’s training centre Appiano Gentile.
In response to the tragic incident, Inter Milan have canceled Cristian Chivu’s scheduled press conference at 14:00 CET as a mark of respect.
