The widow of late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Promise Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has taken legal steps to secure his estate and prevent any unauthorized claims.

Omowunmi Cynthia Aloba filed an official notice at the Lagos State High Court, Ikeja, asserting her position as the lawful beneficiary alongside her son.

According to a letter dated November 19, 2025, and submitted through her legal representatives, Salawu, Akingbolu & Co., Omowunmi notified the Probate Registrar that she had filed Form 5 and Form 6 documents that ensure Letters of Administration cannot be issued to anyone outside the recognized beneficiaries.

The notice, signed by I. P. Awo (Esq.), also formally identifies her as Mohbad’s legal wife and the mother of his only surviving child, Master Liam Aloba.

She further stated that public notices were published in two national newspapers in November 2025 to guard against any fraudulent or unauthorized attempts to claim the late singer’s assets.

Her lawyers emphasized that the notice remains valid in the court’s records and must be upheld until the estate is duly administered.

The legal team expressed firm confidence that no irregular claims would be entertained while Mohbad’s legitimate wife and son are still alive, maintaining that the process must follow established probate rules to protect the family’s rights.
