A video of Ghanaian content creator Elvis Frimpong, popularly known as Osanju, candidly discussing his health issues has resurfaced online following news of his death.
Word of his passing broke on September 1, 2025. The TikToker reportedly died on August 31, 2025, at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital after being rushed there due to excruciating headaches.
Osanju’s death comes just five months after the burial of his mother, Veronica Frimpong (Amonu), a funeral attended by several notable figures, including actress Nana Ama McBrown.
Popular TikToker Osanju confirmed dead
In the resurfaced video, Osanju was seen in an interview with Kumawood actor Kwaku Manu, where he revealed that he had been living with chronic myeloid leukemia for over five years.
He shared that his late mother only became aware of his condition in 2023, after he publicly disclosed it on TikTok.
“My immune system is not working for now because my white blood cells are damaged. Because my immune system is not working, diseases come to me very quickly. I easily get contactable diseases and I find it difficult to battle them,” he said.
He also revealed that he was close to losing his battle with the illness until he turned to content creation on TikTok.
According to Osanju, his journey into TikTok helped him cope with intense loneliness and the looming fear of an early death caused by his health struggles.
