Ghana Premier League champions Bibiani GoldStars have appointed Ernest Okyere as their new assistant coach in the ongoing 2025/26 season.
He arrives after leaving FC Ashantigold 04, where he started the season and was named NASCO Coach of the Month for September/October last year in the Access Bank Division One League.
Official club statement on social media reads; “We are pleased to announce the appointment of Coach Ernest Okyere as an assistant coach of Bibiani GoldStars SC. Welcome to the GoldStars family, Coach!”
Coach Ernest Okyere comes in highly recommended with the experience and exposure he’s garnered throughout his managerial career having also worked with Kotoku Royals and other clubs as well
He is expected to bring on board his technical expertise to assist Swiss gaffer Fritz Schmid to bring the Miners back to where they belong and most importantly defend their league crown.
Bibiani GoldStars are currently sitting in third place on the league log with 36 points, seven adrift the top-spot. They will host Basake Holy Stars to the Dun’s Park in match-week 22 on Sunday, February 15.
