The Life Patron of Nzema Kotoko FC, Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli III, has filled a legal suit at the Sekondi High Court of Justice against top-flight club Basake Holy Stars FC and his Chief Executive Officer, Simon Ehomah according to reports.

The Plantiff is seeking an interlocutory injunction to prevent the Defendants from further interference on the Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli III Sports Arena in Ampain.

News emerging states, the Plantiff’s motion is supported by an affidavit sworn in by Ernestina Agyapong, a director of Nzema Kotoko who claims the club has full ownership rights to the stadium.

The suit is seeking several court orders, including a declaration of title to the land and an order compelling the Defendants to vacate the property, damages trepass and a perpetual injunction to retrain them from further interference.

Madam Agyapong stated that the stadium was acquired and developed by Awulae Amihere Kpanyili III, the then Paramount Chief of the Eastern Nzema Traditional Council and founder of Nzema Kotoko, for the exclusive use of the club.

According to the affidavit, the land was developed into a proper football field under the authority of the Plaintiff and has always been used as their official training ground and match venue.

The Plaintiff alleges that Basake Holy Stars Football Club, a team owned by the second Defendant, Simon Ehomah, forcibly entered the locked stadium by breaking the gates and begun an unauthorized physical developments on the land without the Plaintiff’s permission.

The Plaintiff now relies on the legal system to uphold their claim of ownership and restrain the Defendants from any further occupation or use of the property. The matter remains pending and is expected to draw significant public attention given the stature of the individuals and clubs involved.
