The National Service Authority (NSA) has officially announced the release of PIN codes for 9,082 trained teachers from 24 Colleges of Education across Ghana. This marks the commencement of the registration process for the 2025/2026 National Service Year.

Breakdown of Trained Teachers’ Registration Status

The NSA received submissions for 16,159 trained teachers from 36 Colleges of Education for National Service registration. However, 7,077 trained teachers are yet to be uploaded due to missing cover letters from their respective institutions, making it impossible for the NSA to process their details.

Additionally, among the 9,082 successfully uploaded trained teachers:

5,336 students are from institutions with Expired Accreditation.

3,746 students belong to institutions with Active Accreditation, as recognized by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC).

This means that, out of the 36 Colleges of Education, only 14 institutions currently hold active accreditation, while 22 institutions have expired accreditation status.

    Accreditation and Registration Conditions

To maintain compliance and transparency, the NSA has placed the registration of personnel from institutions with Expired Accreditation on hold. These institutions must regularize their accreditation status with GTEC before their students can proceed with National Service registration.

The NSA urges affected Colleges of Education to engage GTEC promptly to renew their accreditation status to enable PIN code activation and student registration.

Accessing PIN Codes and Completing Registration

Prospective service personnel can retrieve their PIN codes via the NSA portal: https://www.nss.gov.gh.

    Payment for PIN Code Activation:

GHS 40 – Payment at any ADB Branch

GHS 41 – Payment via Mobile Money (MoMo)

Once payment is made, the PIN code is activated, allowing candidates to proceed with registration. The registration window opens on February 14, 2025, and closes on February 28, 2025.

All prospective personnel are urged to complete their registration within the stipulated period to avoid delays in deployment.
