The National Sports Authority (NSA) has praised the Ghana Police Service and other security agencies for ensuring a safe and incident-free Ghana Premier League Super Clash between Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

In a statement issued by its Public Relations Unit on February 19, 2026, the NSA commended the professionalism and vigilance displayed during the high-profile encounter held on Sunday, February 15.

The Authority noted that the coordinated efforts between the Ghana Football Association, NSA officials, security services, and other key stakeholders played a crucial role in safeguarding lives and property.

According to the NSA, the collaboration delivered a peaceful matchday experience, widely regarded as one of the smoothest editions of the fierce rivalry in recent years. The Authority also applauded the players and technical teams of both clubs for delivering an entertaining contest marked by discipline, passion, and sportsmanship.

Match officials were equally praised for their performance, with the NSA highlighting their role in upholding the integrity of the game. The media was also acknowledged for effectively capturing and projecting the gripping encounter to audiences across the country.

Special appreciation was extended to supporters of both clubs, whose orderly conduct contributed significantly to the calm atmosphere at the stadium. The NSA emphasized that fan behavior remains a key factor in ensuring safety during major sporting events.

The Authority further assured the general public that its facility managers will continue to uphold high operational standards to guarantee the successful hosting of major sporting activities across all venues nationwide.
