Preacher Samuel Henry, also known as Prophet Roja, has revealed that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) allegedly sought to pay a whopping GH¢100,000 for spiritual guidance to aid the party in winning the recently held Akwatia by-election.

Speaking in an interview on Angel TV, Prophet Roja stated that ahead of the elections, he was called by the then candidate of the National Democratic Congress, Bernard Bediako Baidoo, for spiritual protection.

“When he called, he informed me that the NPP candidate had visited a pastor who had prayed for him and given him direction as to what to do to win the seat, even though I had prophesied that he would win,” Roja claimed.

He continued, “But I told him not to pay anything to anybody because he had been destined to occupy that seat and that he would win because nothing could change it.”

He claimed to have told Bediako to be careful about one particular guy who moved around with him, as traps had allegedly been set for that guy.

According to Roja, he later succeeded in getting in contact with the general secretary of the NPP, Justin Kodua Frimpong, through Matthew Opoku Prempeh and informed him that there was absolutely nothing that could be done in the spiritual realms to claim victory for the NPP.

“I told him that by nature, the seat is for the NDC guy, and if we want to work for it to be returned to the NPP, they will need to offer over a million cedis because I knew it would never work,” he said.

He explained further that the NPP allegedly suggested GH¢100,000.00 to be used for the necessary spiritual works to get their candidate elected as Member of Parliament.

“I told them to put the money down and use it later to defray part of their cost after they have lost the election because it was unconditional,” he revealed.

According to Roja, Bernard Bediako Baidoo, who eventually won the election as he had earlier prophesied, has not called him ever since he won.

Bediako Baidoo, who represented the National Democratic Congress NDC, polled 18,199 votes, while his closest contender, Solomon Kwame Asumadu of the New Patriotic Party garnered 15, 235 votes.
