Some netizens have taken to social media to heavily criticise Nigerian actor Nosa Rex for hurling insults and curses at Ghanaian TV stations allegedly responsible for pirating his new movie.

In a viral video posted on August 12, 2025, Nosa Rex accused certain Ghanaian TV stations of airing his latest film, ‘Prince of Peace’, just hours after its release, without his consent.

The actor seriously lashed out at the Ghanaian movie industry, labelling it “backward” among other derogatory statements.

Movie Piracy on Ghanaian TV: How long will it take to stop?

“The TV stations that air our movies for free. Ghana’s entertainment would continue to be behind. Is there no authority in Ghana that could tell the media stations that what is being done is not right.

“I just released my film, Prince of Peace, and the next thing, they are airing it. Are they not aware that the movies are shot with money? If they watch the movie on your TV stations, how would they come and stream it from our channel? Why are my Ghanaian actors not condemning this kind of thing?” he said.

However, in response to his allegations and concerns, some netizens have taken to social media to lambast the actor.

They have described his statements as unwarranted and uncivilised.

A netizen stated that Nosa Rex has no right to insult an entire country because of the actions of a few individuals allegedly involved in pirating his movie.

“That doesn’t give him any right to be insulting the whole country. Who the f**k does he think he is? Common sense would have let him know that the same people he’s insulting are the people who watch his videos,” he said.

Another added, “He says he has fans? Bros, some people go watch your useless movies, not all of us oo. I didn’t know some of you dey still dey make videos wey my people for Gh dey still dey watch.”

“I have come to know there’s no authenticity in the movies nowadays, all be rewashed story lines from Hollywood, and let me end by saying this, you’re a fool for insulting the same people promoting your ugly ass movies.”

I don’t know who he is but the fact that some of the Tv stations has being showing your movies doesn’t give you the fvcken right to be insulting and cursing us bro we respect you a lot

For Nosa Rex to insult us (Ghanaians) because of Unity is immature, he should attack the TV station and leave the rest out of his fvk mouth. We understand his frustration but to insult us is a childish act
