Former Black Queens head coach, Nora Hauptle, has broken her silence on why she chose not to extend her contract with the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Hauptle stated that while the GFA approached her about renewing her contract, some critical factors were omitted from the discussions.

She emphasised that these missing elements were vital to her success, and as a result, she could not compromise.

“It wasn’t easy to give up the project. My contract was running out at the end of the year, and we had discussions. But there were a few pieces of the puzzle that were not clear, which were relevant to my success. I can’t just make compromises, but nothing happened. We are parting on good terms and with a lot of respect for each other,” she told 20 Minutes, a Swiss media outlet.

The Swiss manager officially ended her tenure as Black Queens head coach when her contract expired on December 31, 2024.

Following her departure from Ghana, Nora Hauptle has taken on a new challenge, signing a two-year deal to become the head coach of Zambia’s Women’s National Team.
