Ghanaian actor and politician, Prince David Osei, has issued a resolute message to his critics following widespread backlash over an alleged disparaging remark about President-Elect John Dramani Mahama on his verified X (formerly Twitter) account.

In an interview on Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty, Prince addressed the controversy and declared his readiness to defend himself against attacks.

“One thing I know for sure is no man can kill me unless God allows it, but I’ll also defend myself because Ghana belongs to all of us, and I’m not afraid of anybody,” he stated firmly.
The actor emphasized the need to respect differing political affiliations and criticized the culture of personal attacks.

“If I support a political ideology and someone stays at home and feels it’s right to attack me, I’ll defend myself because they also support a political party,” he said.

Meanwhile, while the post was quickly deleted, it went viral, prompting intense criticism and even death threats.

Prince, however, denied authoring the post, explaining that he had distanced himself from his phones during the stressful election period.

“Normally, when the bullying starts, I leave my phones with my cousins or friends,” he revealed.

He claims he woke up to reports of the offensive post and discovered that individuals managing his account had responded provocatively to attacks online.
