    A Nigerian man was left heartbroken and filled with regret after he disclosed his nationality to a potential employer, but was rejected because of it.

    He shared his story in a Twitter post, with screenshots from the chat between him and the client. The chats showed that he had been very close to sealing the deal, but was then asked about his nationality.

    He replied honestly, but this unfortunately cost him as the client revealed that they were currently not working with anyone from Nigeria.

    Expressing his disappointment, he admitted that he regretted telling the truth and should have just lied instead, as he believed that would have cost him the job.
