Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface survived a fatal accident on Sunday, October 20.

The 23-year-old’s Mercedes Benz reportedly collided with a truck on the A3 road between Bad Camberg and Idstein, as reported by Completesports.

Boniface broke the news in a video he shared of his damaged car on his Instagram story.

The video also showed the player’s hand dripping with blood after the crash.

Reacting to the incident the Super Eagles striker wrote, “God is the greatest.”

The accident occurred while Boniface was on his way to the airport to pick up his friends after Bayer Leverkusen’s hard-fought victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in the German Bundesliga.

The Nigerian international scored the winner as the Bundesliga title holders secured a 2-1 victory at the Bay Arena.

Bayer Leverkusen in a statement has disclosed that Boniface did not sustain any major injury

“He is fine. Boniface only had two minor injuries to his hand,” the club said as per German outlet Bild.
