Nigeria and Algeria meet in a blockbuster AFCON 2025 quarterfinal on Saturday, January 10, 2026, in Marrakech, with a place in the semifinals at stake.

Both teams arrive with perfect group-stage records, but Nigeria’s explosive attack, led by Victor Osimhen, faces a stern test against Algeria’s disciplined defence.

The Super Eagles also carry a formidable quarterfinal pedigree, having advanced from this stage 10 times in the last 11 editions.

Algeria, however, are on a redemption mission after recent AFCON disappointments and are led by the experienced captain Riyad Mahrez.

With history, form and pride on the line, this clash promises drama, goals and high tension.
