Brazilian footballer Neymar has revealed that his relationship with French player Kylian Mbappé became strained after Lionel Messi signed with Paris Saint-Germain(PSG).

According to Neymar, he had a cordial relationship with Mbappé, often praising him for his impressive football skills.

However, Mbappé’s attitude towards Neymar changed after Messi joined PSG from Barcelona, marking a new era in the club’s history.

“Mbappé wasn’t annoying at first! When Messi arrived, I think he became a little jealous… We had a little fight. He was like a younger brother to me; I used to call him ‘Golden Boy.’ I spoke to him, played with him, and told him he’d become one of the best.

“I always helped and had conversations with him. When Leo arrived, he became a little jealous. He didn’t want to share me with anyone! [laughs] That’s how the fights started, and his behavior changed,” Neymar narrated, as shared by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on X.
