TalentsinAfrica and the People Initiative Foundation have launched the NextGen Opportunities Forum 2025 set to take place on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the British Council Ghana.

This year’s edition marks a historic milestone: 10 years of igniting ideas worth spreading through TEDxLabone, TEDxAccra & Africa Dialogues, and a bold leap into the future of Africa’s youth.

A statement issued in Accra said the event would be held on the theme “Youth Empowerment for a Sustainable Future One Bold Step.”

It said the forum was a premier gathering of young leaders, entrepreneurs, policy influencers, investors, creatives, and educators working to unlock transformative pathways across the continent.

“The date aligns with International Youth Day, amplifying its purpose and global significance,” it added.

It said over 800 participants from across Ghana and the diaspora, 40+ speakers and panellists, including entrepreneurs, CEOs, policy makers, and innovators.

The statement said it would have seven panels covering AI & Jobs, Women in Leadership, Startup Capital, Creative Economy, Legal Migration, and Purpose-Driven Branding.

There will be live performances, interactive exhibitions, and a curated youth opportunities expo.

It said the first panel would deliberate on Jobs & Skills, while the second talks about can African Startups Can Thrive Without Global Venture Capital?.

The third panel would discuss AI & Automation, whether they are creating jobs or Killing Them?, with the fourth being legal Migration, whose opportunity is it anyway?.

It said the forum would also discuss “Who Tells Africa’s Story? The Role of Media & Creatives, Purpose & Profit Building Brands That Drive Impact and from Bold Step to Big Break Youth Stories That Inspire,”

The statement said as part of the rollout, the NextGen team would begin unveiling its exciting lineup of featured speakers and thought leaders beginning this week through its social media and official channels.

It said this was more than just a forum but a platform to confront the real challenges and possibilities facing young Africans.

Mr Emmanuel Leslie Addae, Curator of the Forum and Founder of TalentsinAfrica said “From innovation to migration, AI to entrepreneurship, we are asking the bold questions and putting youth at the center of the answers.”

He said the Forum was supported by a network of corporate, government, and development partners.

These include British Council Ghana, Academic City University, OAPAY, Bel-Aqua, Axis Pension Trust, Decokraft, Ice Factory, National Youth Authority, and The National Entrepreneurship & Innovation Programme.
