Congratulations, dear reader. You have caught as many interceptions this season as the New York Jets.

These past few seasons, the Jets have been the symbol of mediocrity in the NFL as a period of sadness in the New York metro area has gripped its two football franchises.

Yet, definitively, the Jets have been worse. While the Giants experienced some glimmer of hope in two rookies rising up the ranks, ‘Gang Green’ had a fire sale mid-season that crippled the team as another lengthy rebuild is upon them.

But their level of depressing football hit a new low after their 35-8 defeat to the Buffalo Bills

After the loss on Sunday, the Jets officially became the first NFL team in history to not record a single interception in a full season.

It’s a mark so bad that Jets fans have only grown louder in their calls to fire first-year head coach Aaron Glenn after a horrific 3-14 season.

Jets fans are demanding the firing of coach Aaron Glenn after they became the first team to not record a single interception across an entire NFL season

The Jets ended the season at 3-14 after giving up four touchdowns to the Bills backups

‘So Aaron Glenn is supposedly safe despite being a defensive-minded HC with the first defense in 100 years to not have a single interception that is actively getting waxed by Mitch Trubisky? Hell yeah Jets,’ wrote one NFL fan on X.

A Jets fan posted, ‘Forget firing Aaron Glenn they need to arrest him.’

Another fan wrote, ‘People are trying to fire Aaron Glenn when he deserves coach of the year consideration for a perfectly executed tank job.’

‘There’s NEVER been a more justifiable ‘One and Done’ Head Coach than Aaron Glenn,’ read another comment.

‘If you asked the other 3 AFC East teams if they’d like Woody Johnson to bring back Aaron Glenn as Jets coach, every single coach, player, scout, and exec’ with the Bills, Patriots, and Dolphins would say yes, absolutely yes. 100 percent. And ol’ Woody is going to do it anyway,’ wrote The Athletic’s Ian O’Connor.

After the game – where the Jets defense gave up four passing touchdowns to Bills backup Mitch Trubisky – Glenn offered up a sad assessment of the season.

‘I let the players down. I let the organization down. And that burns me,’ the coach told reporters.

The Jets hold the No. 2 overall pick in this year’s NFL draft. They also own the No. 15 pick after trading star cornerback Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts.
