Andre Ayew has urged his Le Havre teammates to not give up despite the back-to-back defeats following the resumption of the French Ligue 1 in January 2025.

The legendary Ghanaian midfielder scored in both games as Le Havre lost to his former club Olympique Marseille and RC Lens.

Ayew is confident of leading his side’s survival quest as he did last season despite a poor start to the second round of the campaign.

“Never stop fighting. Together we will do it Le Havre,” he posted on Instagram after the game.

In an electric start to their game against Lens at the Stade Oceane, Ayew opened the scoring after heading home from a difficult position.

However, the visitors levelled before half time through Goduine Koyalipou before Deiver Machado scored the winner with 13 minutes remaining.

Le Havre sit 17th on the table after 17 matches in the league.
