Social media is buzzing with tons of reactions after the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) confirmed that it seized a luxury vehicle belonging to Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale.

In a press release issued on August 5, 2025, and signed by Acting Executive Director Raymond Archer, EOCO stated that its Surveillance and Asset Recovery Unit carried out an operation at Shatta Wale’s residence in Trassaco Phase 1.

The operation, which happened in June, was to retrieve a 2019 Lamborghini Urus linked to an international fraud case.

According to EOCO, the vehicle is connected to Nana Kwabena Amuah, a Ghanaian serving 86 months in a US prison for financial crimes.

Investigations revealed that the car was allegedly purchased by Shatta Wale from an unnamed former National Security officer.

The operation was carried out following a request from the FBI and the U.S. Justice Department.

Shatta Wale broke his silence on the incident on August 5 in a Facebook post, confirming that his house had been raided.

His post appears to have prompted EOCO to issue an official statement clarifying the matter.

However, the timing of Shatta Wale’s post has sparked conversations online.

Many users questioned why the musician waited almost two months before addressing the incident.

“House was raided in June, and he is now making noise? I bet Nii got a project to release this week or this month. That’s why he is talking now. He needs the noise,” one user wrote.

Another user suggested that EOCO had initially given Shatta Wale the chance to cooperate privately, but his public post forced their hand.

“Shatta Wale, you have rushed because this happened way back in June and you decided to talk in August. Now EOCO has no option but to spill the beans. You begged them to leave, and they agreed for you to deliver the car. EOCO gave you too much respect,” another commented.

Others advised the musician to stay away from trouble, citing an example of Jamaican Dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel, who served a long prison term.

“We love you Wale, but stay clear of the law. Vybz Kartel wasted 13 years for nothing, learn,” one fan warned.

You begged them to leave and they agreed for you to deliver the car, I think EOCO gave you too much respect.
