Benjamin Netanyahu has warned that ‘anyone who attacks us – we will reach them’, following a revenge attack on Houthi training camps in Yemen.

Israel‘s military earlier struck targets across Yemen, including in its capital Sanaa.

Sanaa residents said the attack was on a hideout between two mountains that is used as a command and control headquarters. The extent of any damage was not immediately clear.

Israeli PM Netanyahu said following news of his nation’s attack that it was carried out in response to Houthi missiles fired at Ramon Airport.

He boasted in a video posted to social media: ‘This did not weaken our hand – we struck them again from the air today, at their terror facilities, at terror bases with a great many terrorists, and also at other facilities.

‘We will continue to strike. Anyone who strikes us, anyone who attacks us – we will reach them.’

Israeli army radio said that among the targets of the attack were the Houthi headquarters and military camps.

‘A short while ago, the IAF (Israeli air force) struck military targets belonging to the Houthi terrorist regime in the areas of Sanaa and Al-Jawf in Yemen,’ a military statement said.

It added that the targets included ‘military camps in which operatives of the terrorist regime were identified, the Houthi’s military public relations headquarters and a fuel storage facility that was used by the terrorist regime’.

The strikes are the latest in more than a year of attacks and counterstrikes between Israel and Houthi militants in Yemen, part of a spillover from the war in Gaza.

The Iran-aligned Houthis have attacked vessels in the Red Sea in what they describe as acts of solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza.

They have also fired missiles towards Israel, most of which have been intercepted. Israel has responded with strikes on Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen, including the vital Hodeidah port.

It comes just a day after Israel targeted Hamas negotiators in the middle of Qatar’s capital city, Doha.

In a move widely condemned across the world, Israeli military planes flew 1,500 miles and penetrated Qatar’s airspace, with several blasts being heard in the capital Doha on Tuesday.

A residential building where the Hamas group was staying was struck many times, sending smoke billowing into the sky.

Hamas said five of its members, including the son of leader Khalil al-Hayya, were killed in the airstrikes. A member of the Qatari security services also died.

The terrorist group added that Israel had failed to ‘assassinate’ any of its leadership – and said it was holding the United States ‘jointly responsible’ for the attack.

In response, the Houthis fired a ballistic missile into Israel – with the IDF saying on Tuesday evening its defence systems were ‘operating to intercept’ a strike.

Qatar’s prime minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said the US warned his country of Israel’s attack ten minutes after it began.

He also said his country ‘reserves the right’ to respond to Israel’s ‘blatant attack’, which is a ‘pivotal moment’ for the region.

Even Donald Trump issued a rare rebuke against Israel for carrying out the attack, with the White House admitting the US President felt ‘very bad’ about the attack.

Trump said on Tuesday night the US military informed his administration that Israel was attacking Qatar.

He posted: ‘I immediately directed special envoy Steve Witkoff to inform the Qataris of the impending attack, which he did, however, unfortunately, too late to stop the attack.

‘I view Qatar as a strong ally and friend and feel very badly about the location of the attack. I want ALL of the hostages, and bodies of the dead, released, and this War to END, NOW!’

Israel’s president told the Mail last night that the IDF targeted Khalil al-Hayya because he ‘kept saying “Yes, but” in negotiation’ to bring about the end of the war in Gaza.

‘He is number one in Hamas and has the blood of thousands of Israelis on his hands,’ the president said ahead of a summit with Sir Keir Starmer in London today.
