Ghetto youth from Tema East, Tema West, Ashaiman, and Tema Central have strongly opposed the proposed appointment of Mr. Kwesi Asare as the new TDC Director.

In a viral video, they accused a powerful figure in Tema of attempting to control more land by installing Asare to cover up past corrupt dealings and secure personal interests.

This individual allegedly owns nearly 10% of Tema’s land and seeks further dominance through this appointment.

The youth firmly reject Asare, citing his lack of NDC membership and absence of contributions to the community.

They demand a leader from the grassroots—someone with strong ties to the NDC, who has actively supported the party at constituency, regional, national, and presidential levels.

They insist on a qualified candidate with both political and professional credentials, preferably an engineer.

The youth have vowed to resist any attempt to impose an unqualified candidate. #GhettoYouthSpeakOut #GrassrootsMatter
