    Three Nations Football Club players have been named in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League Team of the Week at the end of Week 28.

    The players include Rabin Ousmane Sanon, Christopher Nettey, and Nafui Sulemana.

    The trio starred with impressive performances for Nations FC on Sunday, helping the team to defeat Asante Kotoko 2-0 in their league match.

    In addition to the three players, Nations FC head coach Kasim Mingle Ocansey has been named Coach of the Week.

    Meanwhile, the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title race intensified at the end of Week 28.

    At the end of the eight games played on the matchday, Bibiani Gold Stars remain top of the league table with 53 points.

    On Sunday, the team put up a spirited performance to secure a crucial 1-0 win over Medeama Sporting Club and hold onto the top spot.

    Gold Stars are followed in second position on the league table by Nations FC. The team defeated Asante Kotoko 2-0 over the weekend to make it five consecutive wins in the league.

    Joining Gold Stars and Nations FC in the top four of the league table are Heart of Lions are Asante Kotoko.

    Although Heart of Lions and Asante Kotoko are in the title race, Gold Stars and Nations FC have a better chance of clinching the title, especially with the kind of form the teams are currently enjoying.
