The race for the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title has gotten intense and interesting at the end of Week 28.

Clubs were in action over the weekend and fought for points for different reasons.

At the end of the eight games played on the matchday, Bibiani Gold Stars remain top of the league table with 53 points.

On Sunday, the team put up a spirited performance to secure a crucial 1-0 win over Medeama Sporting Club and hold onto the top spot.

Gold Stars are followed in second on the league table by in-form Nations FC. The team defeated Asante Kotoko 2-0 over the weekend to make it five consecutive wins in the league.

Joining Gold Stars and Nations FC in the top four of the league table are Heart of Lions are Asante Kotoko.

Although Heart of Lions and Asante Kotoko are in the title race, Gold Stars and Nations FC have a better chance of clinching the title, especially with the kind of form the teams are enjoying at the moment.

Meanwhile, Accra Lions have dropped back into the relegation zone after losing to Heart of Lions on Sunday.

The team is joined in the red zone by struggling Legon Cities FC and Nsoatreman FC, a side that has withdrawn from the competition already.
