The National Chief Imam will lead the Janazah prayer for the late Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East, Naser Toure Mahama, as part of funeral rites scheduled for today, Monday, January 5.

This was disclosed by the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso North, Yussif Jajah, who said the prayer marks the first phase of the burial programme.

“God willing, tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock, prayers will be observed at the Kanda Highway where his constituency office is. His Eminence, the National Chief Imam, will lead the Janazah prayer,” Mr Jajah said.

The prayer session will be held at the Ayawaso East Constituency Office along the Kanda Highway, after which the late MP will be transported to the Madina Cemetery for burial.

The late Naser Toure Mahama died on Sunday, January 4, and his passing has drawn condolences from political leaders, colleagues, and constituents across the country.
