Former Energy Minister and NPP running mate Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as Napo, has once again proven that his “light” shines far beyond Ghana’s borders — this time electrifying the streets of New York with his signature charm and confidence.

In a video now trending online, Napo was seen interacting warmly with Ghanaians in the Big Apple, shaking hands, smiling for selfies, and spreading pure Ghanaian vibes like a one-man street parade.

“I met some amazing Ghanaians on the streets of New York, full of that vibrant, warm, and proud Ghanaian spirit. No matter where we find ourselves, the spirit of Ghana lives in us and shines through us,” he posted on social media.

The moment was pure Napo — confident, loud in spirit, and effortlessly magnetic. At one point, a bystander jokingly remarked, “Ei, this man doesn’t only generate power; he generates attention!”

True to form, Napo’s New York stroll quickly turned into a mini fanfest — hugs, laughter, and handshakes all around. Even the skyscrapers seemed to nod in approval as he walked by, probably wondering if Ghana’s former Energy Minister was about to “restore power” to the city.

From Manhyia to Manhattan, Napo continues to prove that leadership is not just about titles — it’s about presence, pride, and plenty of voltage.

Because wherever Napo goes, lights — and smiles — follow.
