Outspoken sports journalist Collins Atta Poku has criticized the National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, for being inefficient during the 2024 general elections.

He stated that Nana B was mostly found with the running mate of the NPP, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as NAPO, instead of embarking on a vigorous campaign at the grassroots level across the country.

The Sompa FM journalist noted that the National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joseph Yamin, was more visible in the Ashanti Region and other areas, galvanizing support for the party that led to their historic victory.

Speaking on Sompa FM, Atta Poku chided Nana B and other NPP party executives for not campaigning proficiently, which caused their embarrassing defeat in the 2024 general elections.

“Among Yamin and Nana B, who were both national organizers of their political parties, who was most visible in the Ashanti Region? Definitely Yamin. Every time you see the NPP National Organizer, he will be following NAPO. The people missed him,” he said in Twi.

The Electoral Commission (EC) Chairperson declared the results of the 2024 general elections on December 9, 2024.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, emerged as the winner, garnering 6,328,397 votes, representing 56.55%, while the New Patriotic Party Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, finished second with 4,657,304 votes, representing 41.61%.
