The Vice Chairman of Dr. Bawumia’s 2024 campaign team, Nana Akomea, expressed his frustration with prophets who claim to receive divine revelations about Ghana’s political future.

According to him, some of these prophets go as far as harassing him and other government officials for money to avert certain prophecies.

He disclosed this in a recent interview on Peace FM where he shared a personal experience with a prophet who claimed to have received a revelation that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) would only win the 2024 elections if he was given money.

“I know one prophet disturbing me, he said he has received a revelation that the NPP will win the 2024 elections if he prays for it. So I should send him money so he goes to the mountain and confirms it,” he shared.

Akomea questioned the credibility of these prophets, pointing out that many claim to hear directly from God yet their prophecies are inconsistent.

He pointed to a recent example where a prophet initially claimed that former President Mahama would never return to power, only to change his stance later.

“If you hear from God, why are you having different prophecies? Yesterday someone claiming to hear from God claimed that Mahama would be president over his dead body, today, he’s saying something different,” he added.

Akomea warned that the actions of these prophets could have negative consequences and urged them to focus on praying for peace during the upcoming elections instead of making conflicting political predictions.

“These prophets should relax, because the path they are taking may not end well for themselves and the country. They should rather pray for peace in these elections,” he said.
