Thousands of NAB customers have been left scratching their heads after the mobile banking app was impacted by a major tech outage.

Customers were greeted with an apology notice after being left unable to log into their online banking on Thursday afternoon.

‘Internet banking isn’t working at the moment,’ the message read.

‘We’re sorry and are doing everything we can to get it back up and running.’

The outage is also reportedly impacting Westpac customers and NAB customers trying to withdraw cash from branches.

NAB customers were told phone lines were open but advised call wait times may be longer than usual.

Several Aussies took to social media to question whether they were alone in facing connectivity issues with the app.

One NAB customer wrote on X: ‘Why is NAB banking down??’
