Reagan Mends, former artiste manager for musician Sherifa Gunu, has debunked claims made by Bullgod regarding an alleged romantic relationship between creatives and their managers.

In a post shared on social media on January 24, 2025, Reagan Mends clarified that his relationship with Sherifa Gunu was strictly professional, despite having witnessed her breastfeed during their time together as co-workers.

“As the former manager of the highly successful female traditional artiste, Sherifa Gunu, I find this accusation malicious and unfounded. I served as Sherifa Gunu‘s manager on three distinct occasions. The year 2012 was particularly fruitful, during which she released hit songs like ‘Mbrantie’ and ‘Bingo.’ In that same year, she gave birth to her first child, Irana.

“While I had the opportunity to see Sherifa Gunu breastfeeding during my tenure as her manager, this was strictly professional. Our relationship remained solely focused on her career,” he said.

Reagan Mends further called on Bullgod to retract his statement and offer an unqualified apology for tarnishing his hard-earned reputation.

“Due to the immense pressure I am receiving from my family, relatives, friends, and loved ones, it would be appropriate for Bullgod to retract the statement, either on the same platform he made the pronouncement or on any other available platform,” he added.

Bullgod, during a discussion on UTV’s United Showbiz on January 18, 2025, claimed that it is nearly impossible for a male manager to work with a female artiste without engaging in a romantic relationship.

Citing the example of musician Becca and her former manager Kiki Banson, Bullgod reiterated his stance on the subject, adding that Ghanaians criticised him in the past for revealing similar truths.
