Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Jane Fara Fauzzier Afia Boafowaa Yahaya Awindor, popularly known as Efya Nokturnal, has opened up about the source of her inspiration and strength, which she says is her mother.

In an interview on Pulse Ghana on November 4, 2025, the singer praised her mother for being a pillar of resilience, determination, and excellence.

“My inspiration is definitely my mother. I think she’s one of the most amazing women in the world. I’ve seen her turn her world around from 0 to 100, and I’m so proud of her every day,” she said.

Efya went on to highlight her mother’s remarkable achievements, stating that her mother holds about 14 diploma certificates and continues to pursue education each year.

“That woman has like 14 diploma certificates. Every year, she goes back to school, and she has projects she’s working on. She’s saving a lot of people, and she’s an amazing queen mother,” Efya shared.

The singer said her mother’s dedication to education, humanitarian work and leadership as a queen mother is the blueprint for the kind of woman she aspires to become.

“That’s the kind of woman that I aspire to be like. It’s a lot of work, but I will make sure I do my best,” she added.
