Union Berlin defender, Derrick Arthur Köhn has made it clear that his international allegiance lies firmly with Ghana, even if Germany comes calling.
The Black Stars left-back received his maiden call-up to the national team in August 2025 ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Chad and Mali.
Köhn made his debut in the Kirin Challenge Cup, featuring in Ghana’s opening game against Japan in November 2025.
Despite attracting attention in Germany for his strong performances in the Bundesliga, Köhn while speaking to Sporty FM insisted his loyalty will never waver.

“A call-up from Germany is a big thing. If Germany calls me, I’ll tell them the truth that my heart is with Ghana,” he said.
