Ghanaian actor Van Vicker has once again slammed seasoned filmmaker Abdul Salam Mumuni, following earlier threats that were made by the movie producer.

In an interview on OKAY FM shared on social media on September 11, 2025, Van Vicker recounted an incident where Abdul Salam threatened to end his career following a rift between them.

In a recent development, Van Vicker took a jab at the filmmaker, stating that his earlier threats never materialized because he is not the one in control of his destiny.

“We started having our friction in about 2007, and we didn’t work together for about four or five years or so. And I heard a lot of stories where Mumuni was on a radio in Kumasi, talking about how he made me and was going to bring me down.

“We are in 2025, no person’s destiny is in another person’s hands. Only God does it. He uses people to do things for others. But if you say you want to bring somebody down, unless God signs it,” he said.

Van Vicker further revealed that after Abdul Salam’s threat failed, the filmmaker approached him again to collaborate on another popular movie titled “Beyoncé.”

However, according to Van Vicker, the project did not see the light of the day.

“In 2007, we didn’t work. Salam came to me in 2011 for us to do a movie. He wanted us to do a follow-up on Beyoncé’s film, and I expressed my interest in being a co-producer. He said he won’t allow it. It wasn’t for free, and he didn’t want to share the franchise, so I said Let’s leave it,” he added.
