Media personality Sophia Momodu has taken to social media to address what she described as false and targeted narratives circulating about her daughter’s well-being.

In a statement posted on Snapchat, Sophia expressed disappointment over the numerous posts she woke up to, which she said were intentionally crafted to portray a misleading image of her child.

Calling herself a fiercely protective mother, Sophia said her first reaction was emotional, but she felt compelled to speak up in defense of her daughter.

She stressed that, contrary to online insinuations, her daughter is a happy, healthy, and well-rounded child, and anyone who has met her can confirm this.

Sophia went on to reveal that she has been the primary caregiver for the past five years, handling all expenses except school fees, which have been covered by the child’s paternal grandparent for the last three years.

She added that she has not received child support from the child’s father during this period, but emphasized that her daughter knows no lack and is being raised in a safe and nurturing environment.

Sophia also disclosed that she recently waived all outstanding child support payments and relinquished any future claims, a decision she said was mutually welcomed by all parties.

According to her, this move affirms her commitment to her daughter’s happiness and financial stability.

Despite their personal challenges, Momodu maintained that she has never denied the child’s father access or a relationship with their daughter. She said she simply prioritizes her child’s safety and structured routines.

Sophia ended her statement with a plea to the public: “Moving forward, I kindly request that my innocent child be left out of false narratives and stories. Let’s channel our energy towards things that are more profitable and healthy.”
