The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) Western Region has officially terminated its partnership with Westline Consult, organizers of the Western Music Awards.

This decision, effective immediately, was communicated through an official letter addressed to the Chief Executive Officer of Westline Consult.

According to the letter signed by Donkor Jethro Kwabena, Secretary of MUSIGA Western Region, the termination was necessitated by Westline Consult’s failure to uphold key terms and conditions outlined in their partnership agreement.

The breaches cited include financial undertakings, sponsorship commitments, event organization, and promotional support.

MUSIGA Western Region has requested the immediate removal of its logo, branding, and affiliations from all promotional materials and advertisements related to the Western Music Awards.

The union expressed regret over the failed collaboration but indicated its willingness to engage in future partnerships under better circumstances.

In response to the termination letter, Westline Consult, through its CEO Emmanuel Ampaabeng, acknowledged receipt of MUSIGA’s decision and accepted the termination without objection.

The company affirmed its commitment to removing all MUSIGA-related branding from its materials with immediate effect.

Despite the unfortunate end to their partnership, Westline Consult expressed appreciation for the collaboration shared over the years and signaled its openness to future engagements under favorable conditions.

The dissolution of this partnership marks a significant shift in the organization of the Western Music Awards, which has been a major music event in the Western Region.
