    The Greater Accra branch of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), led by Chairperson Madam Elizabeth Tagoe of the renowned Tagoe Sisters, successfully hosted its annual Welfare Fundraising Dinner and Awards Night on Friday, December 27, 2024.

    The prestigious event, held at the Mikado Conference Center, Labone Junction, sought to raise funds for musicians in need of welfare support and celebrated members whose music has made significant social impacts.

    In addition to recognizing outstanding union members, the evening honoured companies and individuals who have contributed to the union’s activities in diverse ways. Guests were treated to an unforgettable night of live band performances and fine dining, making it a highlight of the season.

    – Mrs. Diana Hopeson – Outstanding Contribution to the Growth of Ghana Music through MUSIGA Leadership

    – Mr. Bice Osei Kuffour (Obour) – Outstanding Contribution to the Growth of Ghana Music through MUSIGA Leadership

    – Nana Tirimud3 Kaakyire Kwame Appiah – Outstanding Contribution to the Growth of Ghana Music

    – Madam Elizabeth Tagoe (Tagoe Sister) – Outstanding Contribution to the Growth of Ghana Music through MUSIGA Greater Accra

    – Mr. Bright Appiah Quaye (Joe Wizzy) – Outstanding Contribution to the Growth of Ghana Music through MUSIGA Greater Accra

    – Mavluz (OD4) – Outstanding Contribution to the Promotion of Peace during Election 2024 with the ‘Menka Ho Bi’ Peace Advocacy Song

    – Madam Gloria Ampofo – Outstanding Achievement for the ‘Ghana at 60’ Song and Black Stars Cheer Song

    – Edith Avor – Outstanding Contribution to the Promotion of Peace during Elections 2020 and 2024 with the ‘Omanba Pa’ Peace Advocacy Song
