As part of the ongoing Central Regional Music Festival celebrations, the Central Regional Executives of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) have held a strategic meeting with the Director of the Ghana Education Service (GES). This significant engagement was aimed at fostering stronger ties between MUSIGA and GES to promote music education and explore innovative ways to support musicians in the region.

The meeting highlighted the importance of integrating music more effectively into the educational system, ensuring that students with musical talents receive the right mentorship and resources. The MUSIGA executives emphasized the need for structured programs that would help young musicians develop their skills and gain industry insights while still in school.

The GES Director welcomed the initiative, expressing a commitment to working with MUSIGA to enhance music education. Discussions also touched on the possibility of introducing workshops, mentorship programs, and scholarships for talented students interested in pursuing music as a career.

This collaboration is expected to create more opportunities for young musicians and strengthen the creative industry within the Central Region. As the Music Festival continues, stakeholders are optimistic that this partnership will yield long-term benefits for both musicians and the educational sector in Ghana.
