Nigerian singer, Shizzi is set to formalize his union with his wife Coco Benson through a traditional wedding ceremony, seven years after they initially tied the knot.

The well-known producer shared on Instagram that he and his spouse are eager to commemorate their marriage on December 13 with friends and family to honor their tradition.

As they look forward to the day, Shizzi noted that the traditional wedding will make December a month to remember in their marriage.

The couple posted lovely pre-wedding pictures, with the caption,

“After seven amazing years of being married, we are excited to celebrate our love with family and friends as we honor our tradition tomorrow. This will truly be a December to remember ❤️🙏🏽”

As congratulations pour in, Internet users questioned the delay of seven years without performing the traditional marital rites.

Many asserted that the couple was not married because there was no traditional marriage.

    See comments below,

@jgoldspropertiesnigeria You were never married,y’all were just cohabiting. It is now you want to get married😂😂

@missposh55 That means them never do traditional wedding. It’s that simple. Congrats to them 🎈

@taaatibg Some have tied the knot legally and not traditionally. Some people believe if you’ve not done the tradition,You are not married yet.😄

@Slim_Oraro After seven years… Is there any need for it?
