Ghanaian singer, Efya, has opened up about her deep connection to music, describing it as her life’s purpose and the foundation upon which she has built her career.

Speaking in an interview on TV3 on December 10, 2025, Efya mentioned that she discovered her calling at a very young age and has since dedicated herself to shaping the artiste she envisioned becoming.

“Music is life to me. It’s a very defining moment where I can actually acknowledge my purpose originally,” she said.

Efya explained that recognizing her purpose early in life allowed her to build a solid foundation for her journey.

“Knowing that this is what I was brought on earth to do at a very early age and being able to get fundamental for it to build a very solid rock so that I can be able to go into the kind of artiste I want to be,” she noted.

She highlighted the hard work it has taken to refine both her craft and her identity.

“It takes a lot of hard work but over the years, I’ve been able to transform myself, define myself, and change from a certain character to a different character,” she shared.

According to Efya, her goal is to grow into an even bigger expression of what music means to her.

“I just want to become a big thing of what music means to me and that would be me being grateful that I’ve found my purpose at the age that I did,” she noted.

She also celebrated the impact she has made, not only for herself but for other female artistes in the industry.

“I’ve been able to build it where I’ve built a very powerful influence not just for myself but other female artistes,” she said.

Efya added that she enjoys pushing her limits and is eager to explore her next chapter.

“It’s very exciting to see and I like challenging myself so I’m trying to see what I’m going to do next,” she added.
