South African Tulani Mbenge was defending his IBO World Title against undefeated Russian Southpaw Vadim Musaev. This was the coming out party for Vadim Musaev as he dropped Mbenge with a straight left hand combination in the first round.
Musaev won the 2nd round boxing well. In the 3rd round Musaev moved into over drive to drop Mbenge with a big left and right combination. Mbenge was wobbly to get up and the referee stopped the fight to crown Musaev as the new IBO welterweight world champion.
“Vadim Musaev will bring a lot of noise in the welterweight division. He’s the real deal,” said Co Promoter Peter Maniatis.
