The quarter-final stage of the MTN FA Cup will take centre stage this weekend as eight teams battle for a place in the semi-finals.
The remaining clubs in the round eight stage include six Premier League sides and two teams from the lower division, setting up a mix of high-profile encounters and potential upsets.
Two matches will be played at the Cape Coast Stadium, while the other fixtures will take place at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
At Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, Aduana FC will face Techiman Liberty. The ‘Ogya’ lads head into the tie highly motivated after declaring their ambition to win the FA Cup this season, but they will have to overcome the challenge of the lower-division side who are eager to cause an upset.
Another clash at the same venue will see Nations FC take on Berekum Chelsea in an all-Premier League showdown. With both sides familiar with each other, the match is expected to be closely contested at the neutral venue.
Over at the Cape Coast Stadium, Dreams FC will lock horns with Heart of Lions. The ‘Still Believers’ who lifted the trophy in 2023, will be aiming to make another strong push for the title, while Lions will be determined to keep their own cup ambitions alive.
The final quarter-final tie will see high-flying Attram De Visser Academy face Medeama SC. The two-time champions are currently leading the league and will hope to move a step closer to a third success as they chase a possible double this season.
However, Attram De Visser have emerged as one of the surprise teams in the competition, having already eliminated top-flight clubs Vision FC and Eleven Wonders in previous rounds, and they will be eager to continue their impressive run.
All matches are slated for 15:00GMT (3:00pm) except Medeama SC vs Attram de Visser which comes up at 19:00GMT (7:00pm) on Saturday and Sunday, March 14 and 15, 2016.
