    The manager of French side Monaco, Adi Hutter, has chided Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu for a costly back pass during his side’s 3-0 defeat to Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League game on December 11, 2024.

    According to the coach, Salisu’s inability to give a good back pass was an unacceptable mistake that should not have happened.

    During the post-match interview, Adi Hutter indicated that such costly mistakes should not be repeated by the Ghanaian defender in their subsequent matches.

    “At this level, it is not possible, not acceptable to make such mistakes that are downright gifts. And yet we were lucky that Arsenal missed a lot of opportunities,” the manager fumed.

    The Monaco head coach went on to applaud the players for their courageous performance despite losing 3-0 to Arsenal at home in the Champions League.

    “On the other hand, I am really satisfied with the way we attacked the second half, playing the courageous football that I want to see. Once again, we have a very young team, which was close to the equalizer. Unfortunately, the gift on the second goal is too much at this level,” he added.

    Salisu gave a back pass which was intercepted by Kai Havertz and passed to Saka to convert.

    Kai Havertz added the last goal to make it three for Arsenal.
