Video has captured the moment a furious hair-pulling brawl erupted in the women’s toilets at Cheltenham Festival.

The violent fight broke out in front of horrified racegoers behind the famous Guinness Village stage on St Patrick’s Thursday.

Six women became embroiled in the ruckus as they screamed expletives at one another, pulled each other’s hair and grappled on the floor.

One woman wearing a checked jacket can be seen being pushed into a cubicle as she tightly tugs on the hair of a redhead, wearing a miniskirt and boots.

Several women then became involved in the punch-up, where they all fell to the ground after pushing against an open cubicle door.

A short kicking exchange between the two then reignites the fight, as the redhead is dragged to the ground by the woman with the checked jacket once again.

Shocked onlookers could be heard saying, ‘Oh my god’ as the woman began to launch a slew of punches on her head while screaming: ‘Get your f*** ginger ****.’

Security quickly raced to the toilets where two of the women had locked themselves in a cubicle, and they were led off the premises.

The redhead stayed at the festival and was later spotted looking dishevelled as she spoke to friends.

A witness told The Sun: ‘I was at the Guinness stage having a little boogie. I went to the loo and walked in, and this big fight started.

‘Someone called the security and they came in and dragged the girls out of the loos and they got escorted out.

‘The older woman kept going on about something about her daughter.’

The estate agent believed the redhead may have said something to the daughter of the woman in the checked jacket.

The brawl is understood to have erupted at around 3pm when Peter Crouch was set to head to the Guinness Village to give out 1,000 free pints.

A spokesperson for Cheltenham Racecourse said: ‘When it comes to any form of antisocial behaviour we operate a strict zero-tolerance policy.

‘This was an isolated incident involving a small number of racegoers which was dealt with quickly by our security team and resulted in two racegoers being ejected from the racecourse.’

However, it was not the first fight of the event, with a chaotic brawl breaking out among a group of men inside.

The bust-up appeared to take place on Tuesday afternoon during the Trustmarque Ultima Handicap Chase, which was won by the horse Johnnywho.

During the brawl, a group of men could be seen holding back one man in a checkered grey suit while another was restrained on the floor.

The man in the checkered outfit then broke free from his restraints, and a fight ensued involving numerous punters who pushed and shoved each other to the ground.

As the revellers continued to swing at each other one bystander marched up to the man wearing the checkered suit and punched him in the face, leaving him with a bloody nose.

Elsewhere, some racegoers were seen looking worse for wear as they left Cheltenham Festival yesterday.

A man could be seen being taken out on a gurney by paramedics as gusts of wind battered attendees.

One man dressed in a brown suit could be seen kneeling on the floor as he leaned on a nearby wall, as another racegoer, dressed in black, hunched over him.

And while some may have a sore head today, other glamorous revellers were keen to battle the elements as they stepped out yesterday to enjoy the racing event.

Umbrellas proved to be the number one accessory of the day, as the heavens opened on the Gloucestershire racecourse.

Some braved the rain in bare legs, heeled boots and thigh-skimming outfits while trying desperately to keep their elaborate headgear dry.

But the windy weather proved to be too much for some racegoers, who struggled to control their brollies – or worse, lost hold of their hats.

Despite the damp and chilly conditions, eager female punters dressed to the nines in fur-lined coats, tweed jackets and chic fedoras for the annual four-day event.

Whilst there were plenty of glamorous women at yesterday’s event, the men certainly held their own, with some opting for brightly coloured suits.

Several celebrities have also joined in on the high spirits with stars such as Luke Littler joining King Charles’ niece Zara Tindall who is a regular fixture at the races.
