Egyptian international, Mohammed Salah has spoken out about “unfair treatment’ after Liverpool’s 3-3 draw game against Leeds United.

Liverpool despite taking a 2-o lead in the game through Hugo Ekitike were held to a 3-3 drawn game by a resilient Leeds United at Elland Road on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

Speaking after the game, Mohammed Salah who was an unused substitute in the game at Elland Road poured out his frustrations about the his current situation in the club.

According to Salah who has been benched for three consecutive games in the Premier League, he has proven himself to secure his place in the team and does not need to continue fighting for his place in the team.

“I am not bigger than anyone, but I have worked hard for my position,” he stated. “I do not understand why I am being put in this situation. It feels like I am being thrown under the bus, like I am the problem. I don’t believe that.”

The reining Premier League Player of the Year also stated in the interview that he has been branded as the problem in the team but that is not true.

“It feels like someone does not want me here,” Salah continued. “This is a big club. I have always loved it. My family loves it. I called my parents and told them to come to the final game, whether I play or not. I just want to enjoy it.”

The forward insisted that his loyalty to Liverpool remains strong, but he no longer feels the same support from the club hierarchy.
